NEST: THE FORWARD ISSUE

[university’s student showcase publication]

NEST is our University’s student publication. Each year, individuals can run for Editor as pairs or on their own, and I ran with my peer Jason Murphy. NEST has been running since 2012, with issues released bi-annually.

Part of the role is communicating with printers and managing a large scale budget, however it has been incredibly rewarding to see the work come to life. Our first Issue is The Forward Issue. We decided on this concept as we pitched it before the beginning of the academic year. This project entailed creating the publication itself which was decided to be a set of 5 postcards with chosen submissions. It also included creating the social media posts and promotional material such as flyers.
