Each year our University holds its End Of Year Show to celebrate the work that students across the Extended, Foundation and Undergraduate Diplomas have created. Every year there is an chance for students to create concept branding and pitch it to the management team to try and win the opportunity have their concept chosen and used.

The brief is set by the University, and there were a variety of deliverables such as an Exhibition Guide, Private View Email Header and Signage. We were tasked to create a pitch deck to present to Senior Management.
I worked with my close friend Giorgia Brown to create this concept. After discussing our ideas, we decided to focus the branding on the student experience and how it has been warped over the last two years.
Our key words became ‘determination’, ‘adaptability’ and ‘perseverance’. We created an adaptable grid formation that could be used to layout content, as well as rules for combining two different typefaces to reflect the key concepts.
As I’m writing this, we haven’t yet heard back about whose design concept was chosen as the successful pitch, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed...!
